Ellijay Amateur Radio Society is the HAM radio club of Gilmer County. The meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00PM in the Community Room at the United Community Bank located at 558 Industrial Boulevard in Ellijay, GA.

A VE session (Ham Tests) "info" are on the second Saturday morning of the beginning of every quarter in 2007. The sessions will be held at 10:00 am at the Albert Harrison Hall at the intersection of Dalton and College Streets across from the First Baptist Church.

NO club meeting in August because of our annual HAMFEST(2008). Our 2007 Hamfest was a great success We want to "Thank" all those who helped with the fest, from club members to Ham and Non-Ham volunteers and all the vendors/tailgaters, but most importantly to all the people who came to look, buy, and donate that made this 2007 event so great.

We have our own repeater now, Rx 145.170o Tx 144.570o PL tone 100Hz. We have a monday night NET at 7:30pm. The NET is a combination check-ins and informal roundtable. We also have at Tuesday 10 meter net at 7:00pm and an ARES Net on our repeater Wednesday at 7:00pm. Normal net controlers are selected at club metting a month or two ahead of time.
